MyLDS 2013!!!

I got super many things to update and this is a-must-post! :D

YES I attended Malaysia Leadership Development Seminar 2013 aka MyLDS from 25thJan to 30thJan 2013! lucky me got to join this largest AIESEC international conference in Malaysia and I must say that I am really glad that I went. :)
I've been trying to find one best word to describe MyLDS but I failed as there are so many feelings so many emotions so many things I've learnt through MyLDS.

First of all lemme introduce you my big family AIESEC UNMC!!!
after LLDS we knew each other. but after MyLDS we love each other!!
Every super notties are awesome friends plus potential leaders and words just can't express how much you people have inspired me and how much I love you notties! :')
We were closer to each other after every sharing session we had.
I simply love our sharing session cuz as days passed, we started to share more, more personal growth and personal feelings.
and I felt really proud and touched as well every time a story (or a lesson) of one being told. some might not notice but I swear I saw tears in most of our members' eyes during our sharing session teeehheeeee :P

not only we learned, we also had so much funnnnnnn together!!! :DD
thanks to our chief delegate ahlum and vcd ahchow for their hard work in making our france booth such a successful one!! free french kiss global village is fun. hahahahha!

one for all and all for one! Aiesec family is love!!! :))) :*

now meet some amazing people I've met in MyLDS!!
this is our cute awesome President of Aiesec Philippines, also the Chair of MyLDS2013, Zim!!

He was the one starting our every morning plenary with his exciting speeches and ending every evening plenary with his inspiring stories.

And i jinjiak dont know how lucky i was to have him sharing his chairing experience in Malaysia with me, face-to-face! talking to such awesome leader was indeed a worthy learning lesson itself. Thank you Zim! :)

< meet Penny
from China!
She is our unmc intern and so she is part of the notties ;) l
ove having her mixing around with us and experiencing our cultures! :D

> meet my dear Yayee from thailand! we are teammates and trust me this amazingly talented girl really made her country proud ;)

< meet Helen
from Hong Kong!
she is not the only Hongkie whom got my hats off! they've got creative ideas and I really love their courageous!

> look at these crazy people. No Egyptian Hongkies or Chinese but one whole team! :D

we only knew each other for like half an hour in a workshop team and we went crazy after getting our masterpiece done.

the beginning story line was to act as ugly as we could....

but then Amy the hyped-up Egyptian went insane and started kicking me and kidnapping others and after minutes of war we successfully calmed her down and ...

yea pictures said it all :P

I love how focus and serious we were during our discussion and how crazy we turned to when we got our work done!

work hard and play hard, checked! :P
and now is the turn of ma home team's faci!!!

He is Martin from Uruguay, aka le papa parrot!

I really wanna thank him for his wholly support for our team, his guidance, his patience and also every effort he contributed to our team!!

He is not only a faci, but also our mentor and our friend. :)
It is my pleasure to have met such special leader like him. I find him different as he is not that kind of person, speaking loud wanting you to follow and listen to him, but the way he put his idea and his lead will just inevitably catch your attention and win your respect.
Thank you for all the stories you shared with us papa parrot. and thank you for being such an awesome papa of our family!! and i feel so proud seeing you realizing your own dream here in Malaysia!
all the best to you papa parrot!! we love you *hugs* :))

and now, to the dazzling people that embellish my 6 days 5 nights!!
tadadaaaaa my parrot team- the sexy piratesssss! *evil grin ;))))

I was lucky enough to be voted as the leader of our group, among all these amazing people.
to be frank it was not easy. Each and every one of them are talented and really capable I would say.

We have perfect plants, whom always came out with awesome creative ideas during our brainstorming sessions. (Y)
We have quiet lovely team workers. they work with the group and you know you'll always have them helping you around. :)
We have shy people whom don't always speak but once they do, that's the bomb!
We have perfect finishers. they are always those brushing-up our pieces of work and making them the perfect ones. and they are so supportive that they will always remind the group on small little details that will defo make a difference in big!
and also we have the funny one, always busy capturing photos of people half-way dozing off and then giving you a sudden attack on the forehead.
mix and match mix and match we form this little pirates family out of 540+ participants ;)

all of us were extremely happy when our team was announced as one of the top 4 teams in case challenge!!
and then we were told to get ourselves prepared within 5 minutes for the finale on the stage, presenting to the plenary and the VIPs of Aiesec Malaysia!! It all happened so sudden and nervousness and happiness and excitement all came in one hahaha!
and I remember we doing our chok slogan very softly and decided to just give our best strive and enjoy the game on the stage regardless of the results. So our presentation was like the only not-so-formal one out of the four teams.

After our presentation I can really feel the strong bond between us.
Reminiscing how we argued and how awkward the situation went, and then how we slowly solved out the problems, and how united we worked on our parts to aim for the best, and then how we wrapped up everything so smoothly in such harmonious way. okay i wanna cry :')

and yes we made it! we the sexy pirates aka parrots emerged as THE CHAMPION of MyLDS2013's Case Challenge competition!!!!!! *firecrackers everywhere wheeeeeee!
A big thanks to all my awesome teammates! plus fairy god fathermotherbrotherandsister. without all of you we wouldn't have won this title. our hard work did pay off! sooooo proudddd of ourselvessss *claps claps claps!
see how excited we were when our group name was announced. we went insane immediately and we jumped and shouted and ran up to the stage hahhahahahahaha
too bad papa parrot wasn't there to celebrate with us, but we kept some surprise for him! :D

see how awesome people from different backgrounds different countries can click and work in one!!
oh fyi, our group consists of Malaysians, Thais, Egyptian and Mauritian!
aaaah i miss each and every of you so much now :'/
spot ma tears of happiness! :D

I've experienced and learned so much throughy MyLDS, and so dots and dots that happened and inspired me will continue being kept deep down in my heart.
I love how the sugar cube concept works. which I'll never stop looking back everytime I miss you people.
don't deny the power of such little notes, they are the little things that made you realize, what you've been believing and practicing all this while worth a thousand all.
pretty heartwarming, thank you people for all the loves poured on me, appreciate much!! :')

I got so much more to share!! hahaha feel free to talk to me if you wanna know more on what i've learnt or more details of mylds etc ;)

don't worry peeps there will be MyLDS 2014!! make sure you won't miss such fun and life-changing experience!

oh  and one last things,
I'm a really lucky girl. :)
Thank you you you you you you and youuuuu!

Malaysia in their eyes!

Welcome the Germans back!
this should be the 4th series of Germans in da' House since i first posted bout it and over the dying duration of my blog. and yea the Germans once again visited us in Malaysia! *applause*

This time we spent bout one week in KL.
and here, these two charming people say hi to all!

Simon        Anna

Have you ever wondered,
How do foreigners see our country, Malaysia?
I've always wanted to know, how do outsiders judge us?
do they like roti canai? do they really enjoy our blazing weather? is Malaysia the same as what they'd expected? or do they find Malaysians pretty/handsome/sexy/funny/dull/irritating???

i guess you will have the same feeling as me if you see some foreigners, eating durian by the roadside with some kind of i-dont-know-how-to-express-faces and you just wanna rush to them clench their necks and ask "so you find it nice or NOTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT????????!"

and this time, i finally got the chance to know part of ze long-awaited answer! woohooooooooooooo
while this is really subjective as everyone has a different mind.
y'know, some say JB is hot while some say he is gay. :O

and here's some Q&A the german-vietnamese mixed!

Q: what is the thing you love the most about Malaysia?
A: Malaysia's shopping malls! really big and cheap!
an absolute answer from a teen girl. that probably makes up 100% of the foreign girls' answers? :P
S: errr.... #unsure ......... Zeepee?! #jump in excitement.
okay, maybe simon is a bit too young to know bout the satisfaction of shopping like her sis did and so...... yea he said he likes zeepee the most, so far. hahahaa!

Q: try to describe Malaysia's weather.
A: my face turned into a tomato within half an hour! means really hot.
S: i can finish a whole big bottle of apple juice by myself. dear simon you used to finish a whole bottle of apple juice all by yourself ok. haha but i guess he's trying to say the weather thirsted him too much.

Q: choose a place where you would like to spend your holiday
at,  Malaysia's beach or shopping mall?
S&A: BEACHHHHHH!!!!
almost all foreigners will rank a thumb-up for Malaysia's beach! *very proud!

Q: which Malaysia's food you love the most?
S&A: naan with chicken curry!!!!!!
they both love naan very much and this kinda impressed me, as some foreigners think that roti canai, naan, roti tissue, these food which are made by people's bare hands are dirty and disgusted them;
while S&A enjoyed the actual way to savor the Indian traditional food by eating them with hands and were both in love with naan!

Simon:"don't eat my naaaan!"

Anna:"i don't care i want more naaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan!"

#fight #glassbreakingsound

Me:"continue fighting, i'll have it all buahahahahahahahahaha"

ROFL

OK let's continue......

Q: want some durian?
S&A: no!!!!!! never!!!!!!
hmmmm, they don't like it, yet. but i believe one day in the future i can successfully durianize them :D

Q: gimme some comments on Malaysia's night market aka pasar malam.
A: fantastic! they sell really cheap cute dresses and earrings!
fyi anna bought 2 dresses and 16 pairs earrings from the pasar malam we went. no wonder i get a fantastic remark haha
S: maybe they can sell some legos there? like cheap legos?
fyi simon is a crazy lego fans and he was quite disappointed for not having any lego stalls in the pasar malam.

Q: so do you like Malaysia, in all?
A: yes! #determined
S: the legos here are more expensive than those we have in Germany but i still like Malaysia. thank you naan, you must be one of the reasons behind this answer.

that's all for our simple Q&A session, Mission accomplished!
truly face-to-face remarks about Malaysia from these two lovely little foreigners :)
the day we sent them off to the airport! them with Simon's favourite zeepee ;)

one is 13 and one is only 11, but they have really wide knowledge about the 2nd world war and we chatted on this topic for one whole day!
i call this fate, confirmed miss them!
when will be the next time we meet? I hope it won't be too long. cuz my next mission will be to..... DURIANIZE THEM. BAHAHAHHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHA

bye! ;)

A trip to Vietnam

alô! ;)
Have you guys been to Vietnam?
it was actually my second time visiting Vietnam, still the same to the Ho Chi Minh city, but this time...
together with Simon and Anna and the family! *Germans in ze house!*

readers should know that Simon&Anna have a Vietnamese mommy right?
this time we were actually invited by this Vietnamese mommy, the nice and caring Aunty MiChau to attend her nephew's wedding in Vietnam,
and it was my very first time witnessing a wedding ceremony in a foreign country!! :D

The Wedding of Khang, the humble Vietnamese & Johanna, the cheerful American.
they were both the high scholars in their universities and they met at a conference and they fall for each other :)
see how amazing  fate can bring two families from different countries and different backgrounds together, combining them into one family!
And the father of Johanna said this in his speech, "We took a long flight here to witness my daughter's wedding and now I feel like I have family from all around the world!"
what've made him felt so?
there were Americans, Vietnamese, Germans and Malaysians there blessing her daughter on her big day!
very cool isn't it ?
The wedding ceremony of the Vietnamese is quite different as ours, theirs are much more simple yet sacred.

and after the happy wedding, they rented a van and off we went to VungTaoBaiBien!
It is a beach, about two hours of driving from HoChiMinh city.
the view from my room's balcony. truly 'people mountain people sea'!
Vietnam beach has really long and beautiful coastline, but the sand ain't white. i'll still prefer Tioman :P

The only place we shopped in Vietnam...
Van Tanh Market.
crowded, hot, sellers dragging you here and there to their stalls, scolding people who left their stalls after asking the price but didn't buy it,
*which my mom and I gasped after witnessing a Singaporean being chased away and being scolded 'lady boy' by a furious Vietnamese girl.*

One phenomena that kinda stressed me out in Vietnam besides the dragging of Vietnamese sellers in the market, is the terrible traffic condition.
i found this picture from Google.  Trust me the road in Vietnam really looks like this!!!
motorcycles everywhere, horning of vehicles everywhere, and the taxi moves like it's gonna knock on a pillar by the road or a pedestrian anytime.

while the thing I love the most about Vietnam is ze foooood! bahahahhahahhahahahahah
Vietnamese have spicy tongues that they can munch a whole chilli without a change on their face expressions, and they are really good drinkers!!
impressed :O
vegetables and beef made up most of the main courses in Vietnam.

and this, this is the family's favourite!!!
'pho ga', the traditional Vietnamese chicken noodle soup.
adding lotsa mint leaves and veges, squeezing lotsa lemons into your bowl, and this makes a perfect pho ga!

simple but really scrumptious!!!
fyi the daddy is a crazy pho ga fans, we prefer this pho ga over other dishes too, and you can easily find yummy pho ga restaurants in HoChinMinh so we have this pho ga at least once, for almost everyday. :目

and that's all for this Vietnam trip!

Oh, btw here's a lovely tips for you guys who feel like eating KFC in Vietnam!
my advice: Better don't. their KFC doesn't look like and doesn't taste like one.
                          i'msoproudofMalaysia'sKFC.

byebye! ;))

Day Trip = I FEEL YOUNG!

helloww peeps! :D
fyi i'm now helping out at my aunt's travelling company where i've came across with both technical knowledges and non-technical skills,
and i was really happy to be assigned to work as a one-day-tour-leader, some more was to lead a bunch of primary students!! sangat sangat sangat gembira loh yooohoooooooooo!!!

began to get excited from the first day i was informed.
happy little ideas popped into my mind and i started to prepare some props for the games!

never stop loving to do these lil things. but i still don't like glue :/
preparation......
and finally the day came!

Early in the morning we went to SJK(C) Chong Hwa Segenting to pick up the students.
I like how the school motivate their students, yeap by bringing them out for a day trip to encourage them to study hard for their upcoming exams.
AND THIS WORKS!
as one of the teachers told me that almost all of the students passed up their homework a few days earlier, which is a very uncommon phenomena in this kinda kampung school, 'where students used to be free and  and jaunty and.... lazy.'  :O

kinda nervous as i'm not really familiar with these places, cuz i'd never been to even one of the destinations before, So surfing on the Internet for detailed info is a must!

and the trip began!!!

Destination 1 : New Star Food Sdn. Bhd.

my fav Snek ku Mimi's place of birth! :DD
enjoyed getting know how titbits were produced, and
spot ze children with their happy we-love-titbits faces after getting their goodies bags!

Destination 2: Tropical Village
this tropical village was already built since 15 years ago!
This is a... yea, very hot punya Tropical Village.
and idk where the cute people heard from but the only thing they knew bout this place was its ghost house. hahaha!

The Entrance

The Cartoon Toyland where all the cartoons with their faded skins and shirts live :P

The Tropical Village has 32 landmarks from different countries,
they are quite finely made but too bad, the colour faded too. should have more maintenance i suppose.

kinda alike Malacca's A Famosa!

you won't know how happy they were when this lil old train started to move. Children children :3
and yes they were very satisfied with the not-scary-at-all ghost house while they rushed out so panicly shouting 'WAHHHH SO SCARY SO SCARY!!!'
Children children :3
happy monkeys they are so cute!!!

Destination 3: Yong Peng UK Farm
this is not the big UK farm with field and resort, but a small one, opening for outsiders to visit and to feed the goats.
And again, you won't know how excited the children were when they saw the Jamnapari goats.

                                                           feeding baby goats with milk!
                                                            'yumyumyummm i want moreeeee'

the busy-eating-mummy-goats while their milk being pumped out.

Finally a moment of silence and a seconds of concentrating............

After visiting all these places the trip then ended at bout 4.30pm.
these tiny little people were still very energetic while my cousin and i, the tour leaders, and the teachers had no more strength to move even on the bus.

had so much fun on the bus with them!!
glad that they enjoyed the games, the jokes and I just can't stop laughing listening them sharing their stories.
and i really like them :))
Hope to see them again, young and jolly!

and lastly thanks to Chiu Travel for this wonderful day trip!
it feels really different visiting a place with a new role, and i like this role pretty much ;D
sharing knowledge you've discovered on the Internet with the children staring you with their eyes of excitement FEELS SO BRAVO!!
the children enjoyed the conduct, while I enjoyed laughing with them! and this time,
laugh like a child indeed!

A day-trip with them, Young and Wild! :P
one day in the future, i'll see tall and grown-up them! ;)
